How to Make Ayurvedic Hand Cream at Home

Ingredients:

  • 2 tbsp Shea Butter or Cocoa Butter – Provides deep hydration.
  • 1 tbsp Coconut Oil or Almond Oil – Softens and nourishes skin.
  • 1 tbsp Aloe Vera Gel – Soothes irritation and hydrates.
  • 1 tsp Rose Water – Refreshes and tones the skin.
  • ½ tsp Beeswax (or Vegan Candelilla Wax) – Gives a creamy consistency.
  • ½ tsp Turmeric Powder or 2 Drops Turmeric Essential Oil – Helps brighten skin.
  • 2 Drops Sandalwood or Lavender Essential Oil – Provides a relaxing fragrance.
  • 2 Drops Vitamin E Oil – Prevents wrinkles and keeps hands youthful.

Method:

  1. Melt the butter & oil base:

    • Use a double boiler to melt shea butter, beeswax, and coconut oil until fully liquefied.
    • Remove from heat and let it cool slightly.
  2. Mix in herbal ingredients:

    • Stir in aloe vera gel, rose water, and turmeric for their skin-soothing benefits.
  3. Add essential oils & vitamin E:

    • Mix in sandalwood oil and vitamin E oil for extra nourishment.
